(First Game of the Season) Home vs Bristol City 06/08/11

Our first game of the season was against one of our rivals, Bristol City. This game gave us a chance to prove our new signings, and get a good start to the season.

The game started badly for us, when Campbell-Ryce's corner was headed in off the post by Fontaine, after just 4mins. Swindon Town 0-1 Bristol City
However, with the County Ground following behind us, we struck back on 8mins. Reisinger made a great run up the centre, but his shot was saved. Austin reacted the quickest, and tapped the ball into the empty net. Swindon Town 1-1 Bristol City.
Other than those goals, it was an uneventful first half, with the teams going in level at half time, 1-1.

The second half took a while to get going, but we took the lead on 68mins. Charlie Austin made a great run down the right, before crossing the ball into the box, where Reisinger headed home. Swindon Town 2-1 Bristol City.
We got another goal 5mins later, when McGovern played a perfect through ball over the City defence, to Austin, who curled the ball round the keeper. Swindon Town 3-1 Bristol City.
Swindon then sealed the game on 79mins, when Austin made another great run down the right, before whipping another good ball into the box, to Reisinger, who heads home. Swindon Town 4-1 Bristol City.
