This season we are hoping to put a good cup run together, and maybe even get to a final. Our first cup game was away at Swansea City, in the newly named Coca-Cola Cup (formerly the Carling Cup).
I don't know what it is with our team, but again we started poorly. Swansea grabbed the opener after 12mins, when Pratley slid the ball into the corner of the net, after a scramble in the box. Swansea City 1-0 Swindon Town.
But we didn't give up after this mere set-back, and levelled the game on 20mins. Reisinger's shot from the edge of the box was blocked, but Austin reacted quickly and poked in the rebound. Swansea City 1-1 Swindon Town.
The half time whistle was a welcome break to the players, after a highly paced first half. The teams went in at half time level 1-1.
After the restart, we snatched the lead on 51mins, when Austin played a great through ball over the Swansea defence, to Reisinger, who then curled the ball round the keeper. Swansea City 1-Swindon Town
Swansea pressured for the rest of the game, but we managed to hold on to our small lead until the final whistle.
Final Score: Swansea City 1-2 Swindon Town.

Manager's View: Swansea played well and were unlucky to not get a few more goals, but I think we played well throughout the whole game, but both teams could have won it. That's how close it was.
